Imagine our surprise after posting our opinion about Obama’s no boots on the ground stance yesterday to watch the news last night and see a former US soldier now fighting with, working for the Kurdish military. While there isn’t any coverage we can offer former US soldiers taking on these jobs, we still have the best war zone coverage available for civilian contractors. And as if we needed a reminder about just what a volatile and fractious world it is over there, it was reported today that three American contractors were killed and one wounded in in Kabul.
We’ve never been and never will be ambulance chasers but occasionally it is worth seeing and feeling the reality of what even those passively involved in a war can go through. They are kidnapped and killed and lose limbs on almost a daily rate in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria. It’s important to know that if you are planning to go to a war zone or hot spot, have a spouse or child planning to go or are already there, there is accidental death and dismemberment insurance available as well as disability income should the unforeseen happen. If you’re already there we can get coverage in force within 24 hours via email and esign documents and send the policy to your beneficiary here with a copy emailed to you. It can be put in force with a checking account eft or credit card.
The only thing keeping thousands from not having this kind of coverage is the lack of knowledge that it exists or a concern that it may not be affordable. We just renewed a policy for an IT tech in Kabul for a $500,000 policy for $217 a month and did it via email within 20 minutes of him sending and asking for the renewal. It’s affordable and it’s easy and it is easily justified when the risk you are taking is, well, all too real.
If you have questions or need quotes or insurance put in force in a hurry, call or email us. We can help.
